Privacy Policy
Love Potion has no accounts, no ads and no tracking cookies. This page describes exactly what is stored when you use it.
If you only try the site
Nothing about your quest is sent to our server. A quest you make with Preview stays in your own browser, together with a few settings: the theme, sound, your recent share links and names you gave your quests.
If you create a share link
The quest is uploaded so that the other person can open it. We store:
- which ready-made picture you chose and the phrase printed on it;
- if you use your own photo (when this option is available): only the square part you selected, reduced to 900×900 pixels. Your original photo never leaves your device, and details saved by the camera, such as location, are not included;
- your questions, answer options, hints and final message, and the opening time if you set one;
- the reply your partner sends, and the time the quest was first opened and solved;
- a one-way fingerprint of your network address, used only to limit how many quests and reports one person can send per day;
- the time you accepted the Rules.
We do not ask for or store your name, email address or phone number. To protect the service from spam, creating a link may include an automatic check by Cloudflare Turnstile.
Who can see a quest
- Anyone who has the link for your partner can open the quest and see the picture, questions and message. If you set an opening time, nothing of the quest is shown before it. Send the link only to the person it is meant for.
- Anyone who has your private link can see the reply and delete the quest. Keep it to yourself.
- The quest is stored without encryption, so the operator of the service is technically able to view it. We look at a quest only to review a report about it or to fix a technical problem.
- The service runs on Cloudflare, which stores the data on our behalf.
How long it is kept
- A quest is deleted automatically after 30 days without visits (counted from its opening time, if you set one). Every visit extends this by 30 days.
- You can delete it at any time with Delete link in the Create tab or through your private link.
- After deletion, a copy may remain in the database backup for up to 7 days.
Statistics
To understand whether the game works, we count events per day, for example how many links were created, opened and solved. These are only daily totals, without any link to you, your quest or your device. If you tap Use your own photo, we store a fingerprint of your network address for up to 180 days so that each person is counted once.
We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many people visit, which pages they open, where they come from (for example a search engine or a messenger) and how fast pages load. It does not use cookies or local storage and does not identify individual visitors; we only see aggregated numbers.
Reports
When someone reports a quest we store the reason, the optional note and a fingerprint of the reporter's network address. Reports are deleted together with the quest. See the Rules.
Your choices
If you created a quest, you can delete it yourself as described above. If a quest shows you and you did not agree to it, use Report this quest under the puzzle and choose the first reason; the quest is hidden straight away and then reviewed.
For anything else, including a request to delete a quest you cannot reach yourself, write to flox.dev.team@gmail.com.
